Musical Monday...

Those who know me, know I absolutely love to sing - not good I might add but that's not the point - although my neighbours might disagree on that last remark mwoahahahahaha. But no matter how I try this song is just twisted, it's so stranglysang that my tongue gets in a twist everytime I try, but by god, if it takes me the rest of my life.... I WILL be able to sing this song along just once, without tripping on my own tongue...

Coldplay - Viva La Vida
I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own

I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemies' eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
"Now the old king is dead, long live the king!"

One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castle stands
Upon pillars of salt, and pillars of sand

I hear Jerusalem bells a'ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
Once you'd gone it was never
Never an honest word
That was when I ruled the world

It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become

Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh...who would ever wanna be king

I hear Jerusalem bells were ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs were singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
I know St. Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

Whoaaa

(Whoa) hear Jerusalem bells were ringing
(Whoa) Roman Cavalry choirs were singing
(Whoa) be my mirror, my sword and shield
(Whoa) my missionaries in a foreign field
(Whoa) for some reason I can't explain
(Whoa) I know St. Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

Oooh ooooh oooh ooooh

In Loving Memory - Joanna Koopmans

Joanna Koopmans - van Hal

******

There is no night without a dawning,
No winter without a spring,
And beyond the dark horizon,
Our hearts will once more sing....
For those who leave us for a while,
Have only gone away,
Out of a restless, care worn world,
Into a brighter day....

With utter shock and still in total disbelieve, I found out today that someone I hold close to my heart has passed away. Were we people who had weekly contact, no, but she was the person through whom I started my spiritual journey. She was this mother of all mothers with so much love, compassion and strength to give out into the world. Always there for everybody and anybody, no judgements, no prejudice, she just simply was.

Her life was not easy for her, but the beautiful spiritual gift she had within herself and shared with many around, was shining brightly to all who were willing to receive. She was one of those rare stars that brightened up a dark night.

I'm going to light a candle tonight and burn some incense that is uniquely attached to her, to honor her life and send her my love to wherever she may be now. I know she is in a better, brighter and more loving place now.

My thoughts and prayers go out to her loved one's: family, friends, customers and to all those who she was able to help out in her life and miss her tremendously.

Rest In Peace, dear Joanna, I will miss you!

With love,

Natascha

Musical Monday...

LYRICS When The Heart Is Connected - K-Otic
In this world of illusions
Nothing stays the same
In the land of confusion
The heart is not to blame

When the dreams turned to sorrow
And the hero walks away
There’s a reason why he’s leaving
There’s a reason why you stay

When your heart is connected
The writings on the wall
You’re always protected
Love will never ever stall

Call on emotions
And place them in my hands
When your heart is connected
Love will stay the same

When you walk disillusioned
Down the highway of hope
Blinded by the shadows
running out of rope

So you can't make decisions
you let them slip away
There’s a reason why he’s leaving
There’s a reason why I stay

When your heart is connected
The writings on the wall
You’re always protected
And love will never ever stall

Call on emotions
You place them in my hands
When your heart is connected
Love will stay the same

In this world of illusions
The hero walks away
There’s a reason why he’s leaving
There’s a reason why you stay

When your heart is connected
The writings on the wall
You’re always protected
And love will never ever stall

Call on emotions
You place them in my hands
When your heart is connected
Love will stay the same

When your heart is connected
The writings on the wall
You’re always protected
Love will never ever stall

Call on emotions
You place them in my hands
When your heart is connected
Love will stay the same
